We had a delightful sail from Thomaston to the Cape Cod end of the Cape Cod canal with 10-12kts of breeze from the SW and flat water. Once through the canal we motored through Buzzards Bay in very light air until late morning when we got enough breeze to sail into Newport, RI. We were forced to gybe onto the classic 12 meter Weatherly which earned us dirty looks from her skipper as we stole their wind and sailed over them into the harbor.
