The BVIs are a top chartering ground for good reason. There is good wind for sailing, but mostly protected from big swells and waves. Most anchorages are now populated with moorings. At first we didn’t like the moorings, with their $25 fees, but we came to appreciate that they were protecting the bottom from damage, and protecting us from bare boaters with questionable anchoring skills! Great snorkeling and we were able to spend a lot of time with our friends Bob and Kathy.
