Fatu Hiva is not an official port of entry, but we made our landfall there anyway. It was stunningly beautiful. After four days we moved on to Tahuata, made a brief (4 hrs) foray into Hiva Oa to clear in and then returned to Tahuata for another week. We moved on to Fatu Hiva, riding out a lot of lousy weather in Taiohae. While waiting out the weather we traveled overland to Baie du Contröleur to see the Polynesian double canoes come in on their way to Hawaii and eventually San Francisco. Then we moved on to peaceful Anaho Bay.
