From sea to air …. My third flight with Russ and we went for it …

These photos somewhat sums up our flying experience to and from Vegas .. via Sierras and Mammoth. Seeing our great land from the air at lower altitudes is quite interesting.  Aerial photography is challenging.  Lots of reflection inside the canopy, small space to work in, surrounded by instruments and a stick between the legs.

Landing @ North Las Vegas airport in the upper left quarter of the photo .. big brown space w runways.  Hard to get a good photo w out glare from canopy and propeller which you can see in the upper left corner and weird UV distortion from the canopy glass across the top of the photo.

Return flight to CA. Saddle point in the Sierras where we could safely cross w Mono Lake in the background – we were about 3500 feet above the peaks but it sure felt closer than that!
